As co-owner of Plane Tree Gallery, Cath’s belief in the strength of community to support artists in their practice lead to the understanding of the need for a shared space to showcase and celebrate regional talent.

Rechelle is a co-owner and runs the gallery during opening hours.  Rechelle enjoys talking about the artists, their methods and practices.

Bev brings together a rich background in business, art, and creativity. As a practising artist for many years, she is also the co-owner of Plane Tree Gallery and The Cotton Merchants, and has taught private adult classes in both painting and fibre arts.

John Wilson (1945 - 2025) was one of Australia’s leading Oil Painters and an award-winning artist. John’s highly collectable works are represented in private and corporate collections throughout Australia and internationally.

Australian contemporary Impressionist painter, Kasey Sealy, born in Forbes in 1961, has painted professionally since 1980 and has held six solo exhibitions in London. He has been commissioned by leading international figures and has been selected for major prizes.

Born with country in his heart, Geoff captures the beauty of the outdoors in tonal paintings inspired by landscapes from the Australian Snowy Mountains to the canals of France. An award-winning artist, he continues to refine his craft.

Brian Ellwood is an Australian photographer who was named Professional Photographer of the Year and Aerial Photographer of the year at the 2024 Australian Photographic Prize in Melbourne.

Maegan creates realistic portrayals of native wildlife using fumage (painting with fire) - the ancient technique of drawing with soot - to highlight the tension between humans and nature and give native species a voice.

Lizzy is an Australian artist based in Gundagai, NSW, creating vibrant paintings and fine art prints that capture the quiet magic of the natural world.

Lilli is a self-taught Tumut artist specialising in charcoal portraits and mixed-media works. Her realist style captures life with detail and emotion, while her vibrant surreal pieces explore the deeper magic of the world around her.

Inspired by more than a decade living in Tumut - its seasons, landscapes, and natural beauty - Jess designs her own pieces with care using quality materials to create beautifully elegant works.

Wendy Holmes, a highly awarded professional artist, has recently crossed the continent from Western Australia to reside in Adelong, New South Wales.

Stephanie feels a deep, instinctive connection to clay, creating intuitively and allowing each piece to guide her process. Blending clays, experimenting with glazes, and embracing nature’s textures, her work often emerges from the kiln with organic, elemental qualities.

Adam Bernthaler is a Blue Mountains and South Coast based artist and arts educator whose multidisciplinary practice explores emotional responses to place. Working largely en plein air he brings resonance to overlooked spaces.

Harry is a young Tumut-based artist working mainly in coloured pencil and graphite, creating realistic pieces with modern, abstract touches - especially of Australian birds. He loves capturing their personalities. He plans to expand into larger projects and new mediums as he continues to grow his practice.
