Brian Ellwood

Brian Ellwood is an Australian photographer who was named Professional Photographer of the Year and Aerial Photographer of the year at the 2024 Australian Photographic Prize in Melbourne.

He was raised on the land in rural New South Wales, although he spent much of his working life in the big cities of eastern Australia.  Throughout a long career in technical event production and arts management, Brian honed his innate visual skills designing and delivering the production technology for an extensive range of corporate and cultural events and exhibitions.  Now he loves to return to his roots in the country, camera in hand, capturing moments of peace and connection in the built and natural world that offer pause to people’s busy lives.
