Lilli is a self-taught Tumut artist specialising in charcoal portraits and mixed-media works. Her realist style captures life with detail and emotion, while her vibrant surreal pieces explore the deeper magic of the world around her.
‘What We Leave Behind’ pays homage to the Snowy 2.0 Project and what that means for the legacy of sustainability and renewable systems for generations to come. The original charcoal drawing by award winning Snowy Valleys Artist Lillian Rose Sturt, is of the Cutter Head left at the Main Access Tunnel at Lobs Hole, after the remainder of the Tunnel Boring Machine was relocated to Talbingo for further excavations.
The Cutter Head remains at the end of the original tunnel and stands as a reminder of the enormity of what we leave behind for future generations and the significance that it now has. It is a testament to the better world we can create and what we choose now can have a lasting impact into the future.
By purchasing from our collection know you are receiving a high-quality art piece created by an outstanding Australian artist. Thank you for supporting our Gallery.
